Hey everyone! I have a question about photoshop. I suppose it's a pretty rookie question, but anyway. In a tutorial, I had to, at some point, select the dodge tool, select a soft round brush, and then set the range to midtones and the lighting on 20%. How do I do that? I have CS. Is it something you can only do in CS 2 or something? Some help would be very much appreciated!

Thank you :)

Once you select the dodge tool, a tool bar should show up at the top of the screen under the photoshop menu bar. There should be a drop down menu where you can select highlights, midtones, or shadows, then besides that there is something that says exposure: then a % number. I think thats what you are talking about. I have CS3 though, but you should be able to change the lighting on the dodge tool in any photoshop version.
I hope that helps =/

Midtones! Yes, I see it! I thought I had to change something in the brushes palette. And with that thought in mind, I had selected the brush tool, and of course, couldn't find the midtones anywhere. But I got it now, thank you!

I've lost my mind. If you find it, please give it back.
